Gary Lovett
Gary Lovett became a stay-at-home dad after losing his sight, ending a coast to coast to coast career in mining. He began writing in earnest while attending Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, where he received the Robert Hayes Memorial Scholarship for Creative Writing. He and his wife, Elizabeth, raised three children in Halifax.
He continued writing poetry, lyrics and short stories to share with family and friends, winning a couple of radio contests along the way. Gary and Elizabeth divide their time between St Margaret's Bay and an old farmstead in Annapolis County.
Gary's first published short story appears in Moose House Stories Volume 1..
