James Whidden

James (Jamie) Whidden grew up in Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island. He attended Dalhousie University (BA) and McGill before completing his doctoral dissertation in History at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He has published two books, several articles and reviews. He did his field research in Egypt.

 

After completing his doctorate, he taught in the UK and the USA before returning permanently to Canada where he has taught in several universities, including Acadia, Concordia, and Dalhousie. He now lives in rural Nova Scotia on a centuries-old farm.

One of his short stories appears in Moose House Stories Volume 1.
